This week, the children have been learning to name different parts of the body and face. We explored this learning through a range of fun, active experiences to help build vocabulary and understanding.

The children:

• Listened to and joined in with songs about the body

• Played Simon Says, touching and identifying different body parts

• Matched and named pictures of body and face parts

• Took part in a body‑parts bingo game to reinforce new words

• Drew around each other’s bodies, helping to identify and label body parts

These activities encouraged active learning, listening skills, turn‑taking, and confidence in using new words.
