Using Venn Diagrams to Sort Toys
In our outdoor classroom today, the children applied their numeracy skills to sort toys using Venn diagrams. They grouped toys into ‘small’ and ‘big’ categories and discussed how some toys can belong to both groups. For example, a small toy car can also come in a large electric version you can sit in. Therefore, it goes in the middle of the diagram. This activity encouraged critical thinking and helped them understand the use of Venn diagrams to sort information.
