Tribal Masks
Today in P5A, we explored the fascinating lives of the various tribes that inhabit the Amazon rainforest. The children learnt about tribal clothing, traditional diets, types of homes, and spiritual beliefs. A key focus of our discussion was the use of body and face paint - how it plays an important role in rituals, spiritual expression, social hierarchy, and personal identity. Using photo references for inspiration, the pupils then designed their own tribal masks, thoughtfully incorporating symbolic colours, patterns, and meanings.
