P6/7 have started to explore our new topic which focuses on Famous Faces. In our groups we
discussed what makes someone ‘famous.’ We also had a very enjoyable discussion on the
advantages and disadvantages of fame and if it is always worth it. We concluded by noting what we know about fame and made suggestions about celebrities we could learn more about, including entrepreneurs like Jeff Bezos and historical figures such as Winston Churchill. We concluded by working out how we would learn about these people. We agreed we would make good use of ICT and discussed the benefits of autobiographies of celebrities. Sophia even had the fantastic idea of using drama and suggested we could pretend to be those famous people to see what their lifestyles are like.
