Maths Trail
Today, we ventured out to the school car park for a practical problem-solving lesson. We observed a variety of cars and explored different ways of sorting and categorising them, including by colour and brand. We also examined the numbers on the number plates and used them in a range of mathematical activities. The pupils discussed the number of wheels each vehicle had and used their observations to answer a variety of mathematical problem-solving questions. It was a fantastic opportunity to apply our maths skills in a real-life context while developing our reasoning, observation and thinking skills.
