Thinking, Solving and Pattern Building! 🌟

This week in Numeracy, we developed our problem-solving skills by working through Izaak 9 challenges and exploring a variety of number patterns. Some children practised ordering numbers in ascending and descending order, counting forwards and backwards, and counting in 2s and 3s using magnetic numbers to support their learning. Others linked their learning to our previous work on symmetry by creating symmetrical patterns, while some children designed repeating ABABAB patterns and explored different ways patterns can be continued. We worked hard to spot patterns, explain our thinking and solve problems, showing excellent perseverance and mathematical thinking throughout the lesson! 🌟🔢🧩
