WALT: Find and measure the area of shapes using square units.

The pupils took part in an outdoor learning activity where they used chalk and square metre grids to create and measure shapes. They counted square units to calculate the area of different rectangles and irregular shapes, working collaboratively to compare their answers. The practical outdoor tasks helped to develop their understanding of area through active, hands-on learning.
