Subtraction

WALT:
Subtract 2-digit and 3-digit numbers using Base Ten equipment.

The pupils used Base Ten blocks to represent numbers and practically subtract by exchanging tens for ones when required. They worked through subtraction problems using the concrete materials before recording their calculations. The lesson helped the children develop a deeper understanding of place value and regrouping during subtraction.
