☀️Comparing Amounts☀️

This week, P2 have been exploring how to compare amounts using mathematical language such as more than, fewer than and the same as.

The children had fun comparing the numbers of foxes, ducks and rabbits, completing sentences such as “The duck has more than the rabbit” and “The rabbit has fewer than the duck.” 🦊🦆🐰

We also enjoyed comparing dominoes, looking carefully at the dots to find amounts that were greater than, less than or the same as another number. 🎲

Through these hands-on activities, P2 are developing their number sense, mathematical vocabulary and confidence in explaining their thinking. ☀️
