Recognising and Understanding Number 💯
Primary 3 have been developing their understanding of number through a range of practical and engaging activities. Using a number strip down the centre of a whiteboard, the children practised identifying numbers and recording the number that comes before and after.
The children also enjoyed playing Snakes and Ladders with a partner. Each time they landed on a number, they had to identify the number and say which numbers came before and after it. Some children were further challenged to identify 10 more and 10 less than the number they landed on. These activities helped to develop number recognition, number sequence skills and confidence when working with numbers, while encouraging discussion and cooperation with peers. 🎲🔢⭐
