🔢➕One more, One less ➖🚌

This week, our number focus has been one more and one less. The children enjoyed taking part in a practical and engaging maths activity. Miss Walsh read number stories about passengers getting on and off a bus, and the children had to work out how many people were on the bus altogether.

Throughout the activity, the children explored and used mathematical language such as how many, total, greater than and less than. They worked hard to explain their thinking and solve the problems using their counting skills.

To extend our learning, we challenged ourselves with two more and two less problems. The children showed great enthusiasm and confidence as they solved the number stories and shared their answers with their friends.
