Rainforest Layers

WALT: Identify and describe the four layers of the rainforest and understand the plants and animals that live in each one.

P5A explored the four layers of the rainforest: the emergent layer, canopy, understory and forest floor. They identified the features of each layer and investigated the different plants and animals that live there. Pupils used their knowledge to sort information, discuss adaptations and explain why living things are suited to their rainforest habitat.
