/ee/ hunt
Our sound of the week was the “ee” sound. To reinforce this learning, pupils visited the Daily Mile track and took part in an exciting “ee” sound hunt. They explored the woodland area and searched for different objects and items that contained the “ee” sound in their names. After sharing their findings, we investigated the different ways the “ee” sound can be represented in words, exploring a variety of spelling patterns. This engaging outdoor activity helped pupils to develop their phonological awareness, spelling knowledge, and observational skills while learning in a fun and active environment.
