Describing a character

Today, P5B worked collaboratively with a partner to describe a character from the short film The Dream Giver on Literacy Shed. The film features a fairy-like goblin creature, and pupils carefully observed the character before discussing its appearance and characteristics. Working together, they identified different features they wanted to describe and generated a range of interesting vocabulary to support their writing. This activity helped pupils to develop their speaking and listening skills, expand their descriptive language, and prepare for creating detailed character descriptions of their own.
