Locating rainforests

As part of our World Around Us topic on rainforests, pupils used their iPads to locate and identify the nine major tropical rainforest regions around the world. Using digital maps and online resources, they developed their ICT skills by researching and exploring the locations of the Central American Rainforest, Amazon Rainforest, Guinean Rainforest, Congo Basin Rainforest, Indian Rainforest, Sri Lankan Rainforest, Australian Rainforest, Southeast Asian Rainforest, and Madagascan Rainforest. This activity helped pupils to develop their geographical knowledge and understanding of where tropical rainforests are found across the globe, while also building their confidence in using technology to research and gather information.
