🌟 Sensational ‘S’ Activities in P1! 🐍🔤✨

This week, we have been learning all about the letter ‘s’ through lots of fun, hands-on activities!

We listened to the Jolly Phonics song and story and practised saying the ‘s’ sound. We went on an exciting ‘s’ sound hunt in our tuff tray, searching through lots of different sounds and sorting the ones that began with the ‘s’ sound. We felt like real sound detectives! 🔍🐍

To help strengthen our fine motor skills, we used sticker dots to make the letter ‘s’, used peg boards, sorted pom poms, and built 's' using Multilink cubes. These activities helped us recognise and form our new sound in lots of different ways. 🌈🧩

We also practised our letter formation on whiteboards and on the interactive whiteboard, carefully following the correct formation to create fantastic ‘s’ letters. ✏️💻

We have loved exploring our new sound through play and investigation, and we are becoming more confident at recognising, forming, and using the letter ‘s’ every day. Well done, P1! 👏⭐📚
