Place Value Creations

Today, P5B used hundreds, tens and ones to create their own place value pictures using Base 10 equipment. The children showed great creativity, designing a range of pictures including the Titanic, McDonald's chips, dogs, giraffes, houses and flowers.

Once their creations were complete, the children counted the value of the hundreds, tens and ones they had used and calculated the total value of their picture. This practical activity helped to develop their understanding of place value while encouraging creativity and problem-solving skills. Well done, P5B! 🌟
