Locating Rainforests

WALT: Use digital technology and geographical skills to locate and identify the major rainforests of the world.
 

P5A used digital maps and globes to explore where rainforests are found, learning that most are located near the Equator. They developed their understanding of continents, countries, oceans and compass directions while locating key rainforest regions such as the Amazon, Congo and Southeast Asian rainforests. Through using digital mapping tools, pupils investigated patterns in rainforest locations and began to understand how climate influences where rainforests grow.
