Learning How to Keep our Oceans Clean 🏖️🌊🐠

We have been learning about the importance of not littering, especially how rubbish left on the beach can harm sea creatures and other animals 🌊🐚🐢. The children explored how litter can pollute our oceans by carrying out an experiment that showed just how dirty and dangerous rubbish can make the water. This really helped them understand the negative impact litter has on living things.

To support our learning, we read some wonderful stories including The Blue Giant, The Odd Fish, and Alba the 100 Year Old Fish. These helped us see how important it is to protect our oceans and look after our planet. The children were so engaged and thoughtful throughout — a brilliant start to learning about caring for the environment! 🌎💙
