Cycling Proficiency
Children took part in a cycling proficiency course to encourage sustainable travel to and from our school.
Cycling proficiency is a programme that teaches children how to ride their bikes safely and confidently on the road. It helps them learn important skills such as balance, signalling, road awareness, and understanding traffic rules.
It links closely to the school’s eco work because cycling is an environmentally friendly way to travel. By encouraging pupils to cycle safely, the school promotes sustainable transport, reduces pollution, and helps lower the school’s carbon footprint. It has also encouraged lots of children to cycle to school, supporting healthier and greener lifestyles.
