God called Moses - Hot Seating

Today in Religion, we explored the idea of calling one another by name and why it matters. We then looked at the story of Moses and how God called him by name to lead the Israelites out of slavery and guide them to the Promised Land. To bring the story to life, we tried ‘hot seating’: pupils took turns stepping into the role of a character from the story, while the rest of the class asked questions. The challenge was to answer as that character might, thinking deeply about their feelings and choices.
