Nativity Freeze Frames

Today in P5A, we brought drama into our Religion lesson as we explored the story of the Nativity.

After discussing what the Nativity story would look like now-a-days, the class worked in small groups to create freeze frames that captured different scenes from the story. These key moments included:

• Mary and Joseph travelling to Bethlehem on a donkey

• Mary and Joseph knocking at the doors of inns

• The birth of Jesus in the stable

• The three wise men journeying to see Jesus

• The wise men presenting gifts to the baby Jesus in the manger

It was wonderful to see the children bring these stories to life. These moments remind us that this is what Christmas is truly about—celebrating the birth of Jesus.
