Rounding to the nearest 10 and 100

Today in P5A, we focused on rounding numbers to the nearest ten and the nearest hundred. We discussed how rounding works—whether to round up or down—and learned the rule: if the digit is 0–4, we round down; if it’s 5–9, we round up. For our practical activity, pupils were given a number and had to decide what it would round down to and what it would round up to, before circling the correct answer.
