The River Seine

This week, the children learnt about the levels of pollution in the River Seine and how this affected events during the Paris Olympics. We researched how rivers become polluted and how harmful it can be to our environment. We then had a discussion about how levels of pollution could be reduced. P4B then took part in a water filter experiment! They created a homemade water filter using a plastic bottle, filter paper and sand. We observed that the water became less polluted after it was poured through the sand and water filter!
