๐Ÿ’ซ Clay Vikings ๐Ÿ’ซ

We were very lucky to have Melissa in with us to teach us how to use clay to create Viking faces!

โ˜˜๏ธ St Patrick’s Day Craft โ˜˜๏ธ

We made cards to celebrate St Patrick’s Day.

๐ŸŽ„ Art Workshop ๐ŸŽ„

We worked with Down Community Arts to create model dinosaurs just like the main character in our book The Christmasaurus. It was so much fun working with the polymer clay!

Here is a snapshot of our thoughts:

๐Ÿ‘ฑ๐Ÿผ‍โ™‚๏ธ “I’ve made a masterpiece” -Wiktor

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿผ “This is so much fun! Mines looks so cute!” - Shyllo

โ„๏ธ Setting the Scene โ„๏ธ
We have been reading The Christmasarus by Tom Fletcher. While reading we noticed the excellent descriptions of The North Pole. We decided to recreate this setting based on our own interpretation of what The North Pole looks like.

๐Ÿ’€ Straw Skeletons ๐Ÿ’€

We made skeletons using straws. We have been learning the names and features of the main bones in our body. To recreate the Skelton we cut up straws and glued them into the correct places. After we labelled some of the bones we made.

๐Ÿ‘ป Halloween Crafts ๐ŸŽƒ

We made some Halloween crafts. We used paper folds to create bat wings and black paper to create a face and ears. To finish our bats we used white paper to give our bat a spooky face.

๐ŸŒˆ Weaving ๐ŸŒˆ

We had a go at weaving a God’s Eye. Use used straws crossed over and wool. We had to wrap and twist the straws to create an intricate pattern.

โœ๐Ÿป Roald Dahl Day 2021 โœ๐Ÿป
We celebrated Roald Dahl day this year with lots of fun art activities. First looked at his quotes, then we created our own dream jars just like the BFG and finally we created a mural just like his favourite illustrator Quentin Blake.
