We were delighted to officially open our new state of the art Learning Support Centre 3 & 4 Building and our new Specialist Provision in Mainstream Class, on Friday.

Both buildings are an excellent addition to our existing Learning Support Centres and overall education provision.
 
We had our Governors in attendance including chairperson Mrs Noreen Meehan & Mrs Brenda Douglas, alongside School Leadership, our fantastic pupils and local MLA Colin McGrath SDLP, who has been very supportive in assisting school leadership in petitioning the Department of Education & Education Authority about the need for the accommodation and facility improvements.
 
The new modular building classrooms will be primarily for our children in Learning Support Classes 3 & 4 (age 7-11) and will create additional classrooms/withdrawal rooms in our main school building and will truly benefit all of our wonderful pupils.

Our Specialist Provision in Mainstream Class serves our pupils with SLD (severe learning difficulties) from Nursery to Primary 2 and allows our school to be even more inclusive in our provision.
 
The new modular building & SPiM class has been over three years in bringing to fruition (including application, planning and construction). The buildings represents a very substantial spend by the Department of Education and Education Authority (in excess of £700,000) which is inclusive of resources, furniture and improvement to our outdoor environment & facilities. 
 
Our children get only one experience of primary school and deserve the very best resources and facilities in their learning journey. This bespoke accommodation is another step forward in achieving this important school aim. We wish to thank Department of Education NI and Education Authority for the necessary investment in our premises.

This Building & Premises Development Includes:

-New modular build, encompassing two large classrooms, a hygiene room, offices, withdrawal rooms & sensory rooms. 
-New playground area with 5 a side football/netball court, playground markings and an outdoor shelter.
-Outdoor storage container.
