🎤🚫Make a Noise about Bullying🎤🚫
This week in school we participated in Anti-Bullying Week. Anti-Bullying week sends a clear and positive message that bullying is unacceptable in our school and community. During the week the pupils participated in discussions about what bullying actually is. This way they can identify bullying if it happens in class and everyday life, as well as understand why it is wrong. The week was introduced with Odd Socks Day on Monday, where adults and children wore odd socks to school to celebrate what makes us all special and unique.
The theme for Anti-Bullying Week 2023 is ‘Make a Noise about Bullying’. At times, we are silent when we see bullying take place, silent about the hurt bullying causes, and silent when we hear bullying dismissed as ‘just banter’. It doesn't have to be this way. Of course, we won’t be best friends with everyone, and we won’t always agree, but we can choose unity and respect. This Anti-Bullying Week our school community came together to discuss what bullying means to us, how banter can turn into something more hurtful, and what we can do to stop bullying. We learned that together, we can make a difference and take a stand against bullying.
