Over the last few years we have been working hard to develop the school building/premises, as our children deserve the very best start in their education. We are pleased to announce that we have received notification that our school front entrance will receive a significant upgrade.

Front Entrance Upgrades will include:

*A turning circle for drop off
*Double vehicular access
*Some additional car park spaces
*Electric gates
*New fencing
*New walkways
*Designated parking for buses and taxis.

All of our school community should benefit from a greatly improved front entrance and be pleased with the finished result.

As a consequence of the improvement works, the front entrance is anticipated to be closed to traffic from next Thursday 12th September. Pedestrians will still be able to access the front entrance. Buses, taxis and blue badge holders can access the school from the car parking spaces to the of the church.

Parents & families are encouraged, where possible, to walk children to and from school. As you can appreciate the Church Car Park, which is already very busy, is expected to be even busier with the closure of the Front Entrance.

P1-P4 pupils, who live in the immediate surrounding areas, can avail of our new Walking Train initiative (see separate post for details). P5-7 pupils are able to walk or bike to and from school with a written message from their parents.

It is expected that works will be completed in the first week of November. Please see the sketch showing scheduled improvements!
