🌟Talking and Listening 🌟

We have been working very hard to develop our talking and listening skills in Primary One.  During this task we took turns to roll the cube and Miss Vaughan asked us a question.  We tried to answer the questions using full sentences and explaining our answers.  When someone in the group answered a question we worked on our listening skills by looking at the person who was talking and listening to what they had to say.  Miss Vaughan loved hearing all of our answers about our favourite food, stories, colours and tv programmes.  It was also nice to hear the different things our friends liked.  We discovered that some of us had more in common than we thought! 😁

Roald Dahl Day - 11th September 2020

Today we celebrated the work of Roald Dahl.  Our day began with a special virtual assembly with Miss Blaney.  Miss Blaney discussed who Roald Dahl was and why his books are so famous and well known.  She also played a special ‘Guess the Character’ game using characters from Roald Dahl’s books.  In class, our focus was the story of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.’  One of our tasks was to design a new chocolate bar wrapper for Willy Wonka and Miss Vaughan was very impressed with our colourful creations! 😊  We loved hearing about the different sweets and chocolate bars that Willy Wonka created and had a fantastic day! 🍬 🍫 🏭

Fine Motor Skills Practice

We have had a fantastic few days settling into Primary One!  Miss Vaughan has been so impressed with our good listening and hard work.  Today we coloured a picture of a school to help us practice our colour recognition and pencil control.  We did a great job and created some colourful pieces of work! 🤩
