Friday 4th March

As part of our World Book Day celebrations each class were asked to run an Literacy based animation competition where the pupils had to create their own animation based on a topic themed book. As our topic for this term is Oceans and Sea Creatures we read two lovely books from our new online reading library Rising Stars called All at Sea and The Little Mermaid. The pupils in small groups were then asked to create this own ‘

’Under the Water’ themed animation with our winning group comprising of Ethan Laverty, Einin Hamill and Branna Murray. Well done to all of the children who showed excellent imagination to think of their animated story ๐ŸŸ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ“ฑ๐Ÿ‘

The pupils have been learning how to send emails to their friends and were even able to let Mr Austin that they are able to correctly send emails by letting him know how much they enjoy their ICT lessons. As part of our topic of ‘Celebrations’  and as we are moving towards Christmas, we have been learning about Coding and as part of this we had an extremely fun and enjoyable lesson where we had to light up a Christmas tree using the Spheros. Pupils had to try and correctly code their Spheros to land on the tree and change colour so along with the other pupils the tree would light up ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„
